Colorado State Course #501
If you plan on completing more than 5 courses over a 4 month period, let us know first so that we can confirm the university can process the transcripts promptly.
It is imperative for teachers to provide opportunities for student voice and choice in the 21st century classroom. If students have some control over what is covered, they’re more likely to stay tuned in and actively engage in the learning process. This interactive online course will give educators a deeper understanding of Genius Hour, an inquiry-based, student-directed learning experience, and its application in K-12 classrooms. Participants will join in a hands-on, high-tech exploration of the latest digital tools and resources available for Genius Hour in the classroom. They will collaborate and innovate as they discover new ways for students to curate, create and share digital and content. Participants will meet virtually via online communities to discuss and share lesson ideas, learning strategies and digital resources.
This is a hybrid course with both face-to-face instruction, as well as online classwork. The skills and strategies explored in this course can be applied to all content areas.
This course has previously been approved for METHODOLOGY.
Live Meetings: There will be live interactive meetings the week of November 8, 2021. There will be make-up dates if you cannot attend.
