How do we make sure that innovation and opportunity are available for all children? What is innovation? Technology is not the beginning, nor the end of what innovation and opportunity for students look like. However, in this digital age of innovation, students and teachers alike should be using educational technology to explore, design, create, and collaborate. Educators must recognize the potential of digital tools and align necessary technologies with instructional goals to support teaching and learning. To that end, this 15 hour course introduces various digital tools that allow students and teachers to create, design, explore, and collaborate. Participants will choose from an array of tools to investigate, including: Sutori, Canva, Padlet, and Piktochart, among others. Participants will explore how these tools can support teaching and learning. Participants meet virtually via online communities to discuss and share their digital creations and strategies for implementation.
