Hybrid: Gamification in the Classroom: Engaging, Exploring, and Applying

Game-based learning embeds gaming principles into learning activities, creating motivating experiences where students learn by doing. Participants will learn and apply constructivism and Universal Design of Learning (UDL) theories to explore a variety of game-based learning experiences and tools. Participants will design meaningful game-based learning experiences that can be immediately implemented  in the classroom. Participants will explore and apply digital tools to set goals, research, track progress, and show learning. Participants will collaborate via online communities to discuss and share lessons and strategies.

This is a hybrid course with both face-to-face instruction, as well as online classwork.  The skills and strategies explored in this course can be applied to all content areas. 


This course has previously been approved for METHODOLOGY. 

Live Meetings: There will be live interactive meetings.  Dates and times to be announced.  There will be make-up dates if you cannot attend.
