Let’s start by addressing the elephant in the room. This is an online course about technology fatigue. The resources and modules in this course are digital, and all of the assignments are online. Completing this course will involve a lot of screen time. However, the goal of this course is to provide participants with strategies to maximize digital efficiency and effectiveness, to establish balance, and to teach healthy media use to students. Participants will learn key components to effective technology integration in the classroom. Participants will design meaningful learning experiences that can be immediately implemented in the classroom. Participants will explore and apply digital tools to set goals, research, modify instruction, and maximize effective technology use. Participants will collaborate via online communities to discuss and share lessons and strategies.
This is a hybrid course with both face-to-face instruction, as well as online classwork. The skills and strategies explored in this course can be applied to all content areas.
This course has previously been approved for METHODOLOGY.
