Hybrid: Understanding and Implementing IEPs with Digital Tools

Instructor: Multiple   3 Graduate Credits

Drake Course #EDMT 277

If you plan on completing more than 5 courses over a 4 month period, let us know first so that we can confirm the university can process the transcripts promptly.

Understanding the roles, rights, responsibilities, and restrictions of classroom teachers who teach students with IEPs can be overwhelming. It is essential that all educators who teach students with IEPs understand the laws and components of each Individualized Education Plan. Participants will assess their prior knowledge of the IEP process and develop a personalized goal for the course. Participants will explore and apply digital tools to set goals, research, track progress, and show learning. Participants will collaborate via online communities to discuss and share lessons and strategies.

This is a hybrid course with both face-to-face instruction, as well as online classwork.  The skills and strategies explored in this course can be applied to all content areas.

This course has previously been approved for METHODOLOGY.

Live Meetings: There will be live interactive meetings.  Dates and times to be announced.  There will be make-up dates if you cannot attend.
