NA-23-18 Instructor: Multiple 2 Salary Points
The goal of English immersion in a mainstream classroom is the acquisition of language skills through exposure, exploration, practice, and support. Teachers in English immersion classrooms also require training, resources, and support to create a safe space for all students to learn and succeed. Participants will learn key components to successful English immersion, and explore a variety of resources to plan, implement, and maintain a successful English immersion classroom. Participants will design meaningful learning experiences that can be immediately implemented in the classroom. Participants will explore and apply digital tools to set goals, research, track progress, and show learning. Participants will collaborate via online communities to discuss and share lessons and strategies.
Los Angeles teachers are limited to enrolling in a maximum of six courses per session through ED Technology Specialists. If students finish coursework before the session end date, paperwork for salary points will be processed at that time.
