Learning institutions, universities, and public schools are in need of educators who are knowledgeable in designing and implementing engaging online instruction, sometimes referred to as “distance learning” or “elearning.” This way schools can continue the learning process at a distance even during inclement weather, a health crisis or other safety issue. Additionally, well-designed distance learning provides more accessibility to a quality education to students who aren’t able to travel and attend classes. In this course, participants will explore, experience, and implement best practices, models, and theories for designing online courses that are engaging and effective. The course is designed with effective online learning principles in mind and provides an online community for participants to collaborate and meet with their colleagues virtually to exchange resources, solutions and ideas.
