What Are ED Technology Specialists Micro-Credentials?
Micro-credentials are stackable credentials that are part of a sequence of qualifications that can be accumulated over time. Micro-credentials build up an individual’s qualifications and help that individual move along a career pathway and further education. The Google Educator Level 1 and Google Educator Level 2 digital badges are an example of micro-credentials.
Now you can earn micro-credentials that demonstrate and verify the skills you achieve while completing ED Technology Specialists courses. This is a complimentary service available to participants who meet the requirements listed below and complete the appropriate forms. The ED Technology Specialists micro-credentials are part of a sequence of credentials accumulated over time. These micro-credentials indicate that you have furthered your skills as an educator – expertly integrating technology into your practice to facilitate student engagement and success. The micro-credentials can be added to a portfolio, blog, resume, or professional profile and will verify your skills as an ETS Digital Learner, Digital Integrator, Edtech Practitioner, Emerging Edtech Specialists, and Certified Edtech Specialist. Participants who earn the Certified Edtech Specialist micro-credential will additionally receive a reference letter from an instructor. Each micro-credential is accompanied by a portfolio of specific evidence submitted by the participant to demonstrate competence in the skill.
