ED Technology Specialists is an approved MA DESE PD Provider with the following Content areas: 1) Curriculum and Instruction, 2) English Language Learners, 3) Instructional Technology/Digital Literacy, and 4) Special Needs-General. Self-Paced Online

*Earn your PDPs and credits at your pace, on your time.  Complete your four courses to earn your 270 PDPs for license renewal.  Please note: it is the responsibility of students to ensure that the PDPs earned align with your individual licensure needs and meet the specific criteria outlined by MA DESE for license renewal.  More info below.


Grad Credits Available

You have the option to earn graduate credits by completing any of our courses.  Graduate courses are fully accredited through Andrews University or Drake University.  Andrews is accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (NCA).  The School of Education has been ranked #27 by the National Center for Education Statistics for “Best Teaching Degree”.

Important Massachusetts Teacher License Requirements Information

Our license renewal package is designed to assist educators in meeting professional development requirements, aligning with guidelines outlined by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (MA DESE).  Please refer to the MA DESE website [HERE] for the latest and most up to date accurate information regarding professional license renewal.


At least 15 PDPs in content (subject matter knowledge)


At least 15 PDPs related to training in strategies for effective schooling for students with disabilities and the instruction of students with diverse learning styles


At least 15 PDPs in pedagogy (professional skills and knowledge)


The remaining required 90 PDPs may be earned through either “elective” activities that address other educational issues and topics that improve student learning, or additional content, and/or pedagogy.


At least 15 PDPs related to Sheltered English Immersion (SEI) or English as a Second Language (ESL)


The renewal of each Additional area license(s) will require 30 PDPs, of which 15 out of the 30 must be content related.

MA License Renewal Package Registration Process


Register Through ED Technology Specialists

Register through ED Technology Specialists by clicking “Learn More” underneath one of the packages above.  Each package includes 4 courses worth 270 PDPs.  After you register, you will be sent an email with the class links to begin your coursework.


Receive Your PDPs and/or Grad Credits

As you complete each course, you will be sent a certificate (if you registered only for PDPs) or transcripts will be made available (if you registered for grad credits).
