Andrews Course #EDCI 639-041  /  Colorado State Course #501

Important: Both Andrews University and CSU Pueblo limit transcript processing to 15 credits per semester. At Andrews, your transcript will indicate the semester in which you finish the course.

Pandemic teaching and learning has resulted in major shifts in the way teachers and students interact in the physical and virtual classroom.  At a time when students are acquiring and mastering the academic skills that they will need to become productive members of society,  they also need to develop social and emotional skills to adapt to our changing world.  Teachers and staff must also learn and apply social and emotional strategies to find a healthy balance of professional and personal responsibilities. Participants in this course will investigate and evaluate various strategies to advance social and emotional learning for themselves and students.  Participants, where possible, will employ these strategies with students and share the results with each other in interactive online discussion communities.
